General Questions
CortexOS works with any text-based PDF, including textbooks, academic papers, training manuals, course notes, and documentation. For best results, use PDFs with clear chapter structure. Scanned PDFs with OCR text also work, though results may vary based on scan quality.
Most PDFs are processed in 40–50 minutes, depending on length and complexity. For example, a typical 200-page textbook takes about 40 minutes. You’ll receive a notification as soon as your knowledge graph is ready.
In the meantime, you can keep going by using a pre-made module—you’ll choose one during the onboarding process.
Currently, CortexOS supports 30 of the most-used languages. For example: English, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Turkish, and Vietnamese (plus many more).
Absolutely. We use bank-level encryption to protect your files and knowledge graphs. Your data is stored securely and never shared with third parties. You can delete your content at any time, and we comply with GDPR and CCPA regulations.
Yes — limits depend on your plan:
Free: 1 book/month, up to 30 pages per book
Pro: 2 books/month, up to 120 pages per book
Scholar: 5 books/month, up to 200 pages per book
Creator: 15 books/month, up to 200 pages per book
Video lessons are generated from the lesson cards created from your PDF. They help you review structured explanations, key ideas, examples, and important points in a clear video format.
Concept videos are short videos generated from the concept cards inside your knowledge graph. They are designed to explain one important idea at a time, making complex topics easier to understand and remember.
For concept videos, yes. CortexOS offers 73 different visual styles, so you can choose the style that best fits your learning preference. Lesson videos use a standard structured learning-video format.
