FRM Part 1 – August 2026 Exam Results and Performance

Candidates who sat for the FRM Part I exam in August 2026 will now be looking ahead to one of the most important stages of the examination process: the release of their results. The Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification is administered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), which is the official source for exam results, candidate performance information, and certification requirements.

When Will the FRM Part I August 2026 Results Be Released?

According to GARP’s established examination process, FRM exam results are generally made available approximately six weeks after the examination.

Based on that timeline, candidates who completed FRM Part I during the August 2026 exam administration should expect their results around late September 2026.

However, candidates should note that this is an expected timeframe based on GARP’s published results process, not an independently confirmed exact release date. If GARP announces a specific result date for the August 2026 examination, that official announcement should take precedence.

Candidates are therefore encouraged to monitor their GARP account and registered email address as the expected results period approaches.

Where Will the August 2026 FRM Part I Results Be Available?

FRM Part I results are released through GARP’s official website.

Candidates should sign in to the GARP account they used when registering for the examination. Once results have been released, the candidate account will provide the official examination outcome and associated performance information.

GARP also typically communicates with candidates through the email address registered to their account when examination results become available.

Candidates should rely on GARP rather than unofficial websites, social-media posts, or estimated result dates when determining whether results have officially been released.

What Will the FRM Part I Results Show?

Candidates receive an overall pass or fail result. GARP does not publicly disclose a fixed minimum passing score that candidates can use to calculate their result in advance.

Candidates also receive information showing their relative performance across the four major

FRM Part I curriculum areas:

  • Foundations of Risk Management

  • Quantitative Analysis

  • Financial Markets and Products

  • Valuation and Risk Models

GARP reports candidate performance using quartiles. A first-quartile result represents stronger relative performance, while a fourth-quartile result indicates comparatively weaker performance in that subject area.

These quartiles should not be interpreted as exact percentage scores. Instead, they help candidates understand how their performance compared with that of other exam participants.

What Happens After the Results? FRM Part 1 August 2026 Exam Results

Candidates who pass FRM Part I can move forward toward FRM Part II in accordance with GARP’s current registration rules and certification requirements. FRM Part 1 August 2026 Exam Results

Those who do not pass can use their subject-level performance information to identify areas that may require additional preparation before attempting Part I again.

As the expected late-September 2026 results period approaches, candidates should check garp.org and their official GARP account for the latest information. Any exact release date, August 2026 pass rate, or other examination statistics should be considered confirmed only once they are published by GARP.
